Asked Questions

No, travel advisors are very much alive, highly active, and fueled by plenty of coffee.

Booking with a dedicated travel advisor unlocks exclusive specials, unique deals, and premium perks that are simply not available to the general public. We serve as your single point of contact for reliable on-trip support and leverage our robust platform partnerships to maximize the value of your budget.

You can call us, text, email or fill out a contact request to get started, whichever you prefer. We want to be flexible for you.

We would start with an intake discussion to start work on your booking. We can meet in-person, in public at one of our many Kalamazoo area business neighbors (coffee shop, brewpub, etc), or for those outside the area, we can meet over Zoom or I can come to you depending on travel distance.

We do not have a storefront because we’re virtual, but that enables us to provide quality services for you without the overhead (who needs boring travel posters in a stuffy office?).

Those Who Wander offers travel consultancy and booking services for its clients, ranging from airfare and hotel bookings to custom packages coordinated with Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and tours that may be booked a-la-carte with either option. We also work with travel insurance providers to bring you piece of mind for your money.

The answer is entirely dependent on whether domestic travel, international travel, and provider requirements.

Restrictions for domestic travel are limited, but REAL-ID compliant identification and airline-approved carriage for pets are required for travel, where applicable. Driver’s License and credit cards also preferred for car rental and hotel.

International travel in most cases (except Canada, where Enhanced Driver’s License, NEXUS, and Passport Card are accepted for land border crossing only) require a passport and appropriate visas, if required, for travelers. Pet restrictions also apply.

In many cases, nothing–Our business model is built on compensation for time spent on research and booking of
travel, and commissions which are paid by providers and not by clients.

• Domestic travel with no research required (i.e. you already have a desired hotel in mind): No Fee

• Domestic or International travel requiring research or outside quotation: Booking Fee = $100 or 5% of package
pricing (whichever is more)
