Hi, I'm Ben! I am the Chief Nomad here at Those Who Wander. I am a scientist turned project manager with a travel obsession!
I started Those Who Wander to give fellow explorers a space where the road-less-traveled meets a road map that works...we think. We (yes, me and the mouse in my pocket) plan trips for my clients the same way I run my projects in the workplace: on-time, on-budget, and with a splash of unexpected magic.

Aren't travel agents extinct? Why should I use one?
No, travel advisors in this instance are very much alive, omnivorous and drink too much coffee.
Booking with a travel advisor unlocks many specials, deals and perks that are not available to the general public. We can be a single point of contact for in-trip support and leverage a a number of partnerships with our platform to bring value for your budget.
What services do you offer?
Those Who Wander offers travel consultancy and booking services for its clients, ranging from airfare and hotel bookings to custom packages coordinated with Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and tours that may be booked a-la-carte with either option. We also work with travel insurance providers to bring you piece of mind for your money.
Ok, so how much extra would I have to pay?
In many cases, nothing--Our business model is built on compensation for time spent on research and booking of travel, and commissions which are paid by providers and not by clients.
Domestic travel with minimal research required: No Fee
Domestic travel requiring research or outside quotation: Research / Booking Fee = $65 or 2.5% of package (whichever is more)
International travel Research / Booking Fee = $100 or 5% of package pricing (whichever is more)
How can I book with you?
Fill out a contact request and we will schedule an intake discussion to start on your booking! We can meet you for initial consultation in-person or over video-conference. We do not have a storefront per-se, but are committed to making the booking experience as straightforward as possible.
Who can join us on our trip?
The answer is entirely dependent on whether domestic travel, international travel, and provider requirements.
Restrictions for domestic travel are limited, but REAL-ID compliant identification and airline-approved carriage for pets are required for travel, where applicable. Driver's License and credit cards also preferred for car rental and hotel.
International travel in most cases (except Canada, where Enhanced Driver's License, NEXUS, and Passport Card are accepted for land border crossing only) require a passport and appropriate visas, if required, for travelers. Pet restrictions also apply.
